Text Box: We are getting our garden planned out by a group from the Prince’s Trust. They came to ask us if we wanted them to tidy up the garden. They said that they could set out the garden as part of their work on the Prince’s Trust. They are working well. They started on the 1st of November and worked for 8 days and they completed the garden on the 10th November. A garden opening was planned for the 27th November.

We also asked questions about the Prince’s Trust and the garden:

Q: Can you tell me a bit about the Prince’s Trust and the age group.

A: There is a twelve week development course for 16-25 year-olds who are unemployed. This helps people to communicate and with team building skills, and building friendships, confidence and also leadership skills. Also, doing things you wouldn’t normally get the chance to do, like activities and opportunities for development on a residential course.

How long are you involved with it?

A: This is the 6th week of a 12 week course.

What made the group choose to work on the PAMH garden?

A: Group members had to agree which project to work on and they looked at several possible groups. They thought it was a good project as it would fit within their timescales, which would make a real improvement to garden. They said it was lovely to do, to tidy something up, and to do something to help other people. They also said they thought that everyone should have the opportunity to use the garden and because of that they wanted to provide disabled access.
